Hiya, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.
About the role
This role is an Australian based role and does not currently offer relocation assistance. This role would suit someone currently working in Australia or with plans to relocate imminently.
At Canva, Impact Experience is what we call performance management. Our mission is to ensure that all team members worldwide understand their expectations, receive timely feedback and recognition, and are supported in developing the skills and experience needed to make an even greater impact in the future. The Impact Experience team sits within the Rewards and Performance Group at Canva.
Our Impact Experience is small but powerful. You'll work closely with our Impact Experience Lead, based in the UK, who oversees the overall strategy. As the Program Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the processes, platforms, systems, and tools of our Impact Experience programs and initiatives, ensuring the effective evolution and scaling of our processes globally.
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Leveraging your skills and expertise in program and project management to continuously execute, maintain, evaluate and improve existing company-wide Performance programs and processes.
  • Owning project timelines and deliverables, whilst also providing HR insights to guide project directions.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the system functionality, education programs, communications, support guides, calibration practices, and distribution reporting, leveraging your HR knowledge to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the Impact Experience Lead to drive continuous improvement to the Impact Experience program.
  • Driving collaboration across teams and fostering strong relationships with business leaders and parters across Canva's People team, including HR Business Partners, Regional People Leads, Learning Experience Designers, People Experience and Internal Communications team.
  • Crafting and communicating with company-wide audiences to keep them updated on program cycles, actions needed, upcoming events, related initiatives and relevant communications.
  • Leveraging your HR expertise to refine our Impact Experience education.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the business to tie program initiatives into other relevant initiatives across the organisation

You're probably a match if

  • You are an experienced HR Program Manager with strong project management skills, ideally in a global, fast-moving and matrix environment.
  • You're a doer, with a strong bias for action with the ability to quickly understand context and deliver results.
  • You are highly skilled at process mapping, process optimisation, continuous improvement, operational alignment and data analytics and reporting.
  • You have a knack for synthesising complex ideas into simple, brief, engaging messages and can communicate in a kind, clear, conversational tone of voice.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • You have excellent collaboration abilities and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross functionally with a wide audience outside of just the HR team
  • You have experience in performance management tooling and systems (a bonus).

What's in it for you?
Achieving our crazy big goals motivates us to work hard - and we do - but you'll experience lots of moments of magic, connectivity and fun woven throughout life at Canva, too. We also offer a range of benefits to set you up for every success in and outside of work.
