About the Role
We are looking for an HR Operations professional to manage day-to-day HR activities at our Roorkee plant. The role will involve handling employee lifecycle processes, attendance and payroll coordination, HR documentation, compliance support, employee engagement, and coordination with plant operations and manpower vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage day-to-day HR operations for plant employees and associates.
- Handle joining, onboarding, documentation, transfers, confirmations, and exits.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Address employee queries and provide timely HR support.
2. Attendance & Payroll
- Monitor daily attendance, absenteeism, shift schedules, and leave records.
- Coordinate with payroll teams for monthly payroll processing.
- Verify attendance, wage sheets, overtime, deductions, and related payroll inputs.
- Resolve attendance and payroll-related employee queries.
3. Contract Labour / Manpower Management
- Coordinate with manpower contractors for deployment and attendance.
- Monitor manpower availability and absenteeism.
- Ensure timely submission and verification of contractor-related documents.
- Support manpower planning based on plant requirements.
4. Statutory Compliance
- Support compliance related to PF, ESIC, ECR, wages, labour laws, contractor compliance, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for compliance documentation.
- Maintain compliance records and support internal/external audits.
5. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, sports activities, and welfare initiatives.
- Coordinate initiatives such as Employee of the Month, Kaizen, employee communication, and engagement activities.
- Address employee concerns and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
6. HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly HR reports and MIS.
- Maintain manpower, attendance, attrition, absenteeism, and payroll-related trackers.
- Generate HR dashboards and reports for plant management.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of HR data.
7. Plant HR Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Plant Operations, Admin, Security, Finance, Payroll, and other functions.
- Support manpower planning and workforce deployment.
- Participate in HR audits, inspections, and other plant-level HR initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HR Operations and Plant HR.
- Good understanding of attendance, payroll, and contract labour management.
- Knowledge of PF, ESIC, ECR and statutory compliance.
- Strong Excel and HR MIS skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage employee grievances and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment will be preferred.
Educational Qualification
- MBA/PGDM in HR / MSW / MHRM or equivalent qualification.
- Graduate with relevant HR Operations experience may also be considered.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of experience in HR Operations / Plant HR / Factory HR.
- Experience managing blue-collar/contractual workforce will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing, recycling, automotive, FMCG, logistics, or similar plant environments preferred.
- Candidates should be comfortable working from the Roorkee plant location.

- Strong Microsoft Excel and HR MIS skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage employee grievances and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- MBA or PGDM in HR, MSW, MHRM, or equivalent qualification
- Graduate with relevant HR Operations experience may be considered
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
