What You'll Do 

  • Manage the daily workflow and operations of a dedicated, collaborative HR team 

  • Serve as a trusted partner to department heads and managers on workforce needs, policies, and HR matters 

  • Manage and approve staff evaluations and assessments 

  • Partner with the Vice President, Human Resources to bring our people and talent strategy to life 

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and a warm welcome for every new team member 

  • Guide performance management and employee relations, escalating sensitive matters to the Vice President, Human Resources 

  • Review performance and conduct concerns and recommend appropriate next steps, including separations, to the Vice President, Human Resources 

  • Be in charge of our HRIS, from system administration and data integrity to reporting and user support 

  • Train staff on management and supervisory programs that help our leaders grow 

  • Track HR metrics, share insights, and champion ideas that make our processes better 

  • Help keep our practices compliant with employment laws, policies, and recordkeeping requirements 

Qualifications

What You'll Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience; HR operations and HRIS experience is a plus 

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills 

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities 

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices 

  • Strong HRIS skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 

  • Integrity, sound judgment, and a deep respect for confidentiality 

Physical Demands 

  • Regular standing and sitting for long periods of time 

  • Regular use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment 

  • Ability to move throughout our facilities and visit departments and work areas 

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
