HR Operations & Employee Relations Specialist (Austria)

Graphwise is looking for an ambitious and self-driven HR professional to support our Austrian organization by ensuring the seamless delivery of HR operations, employee administration and employment compliance.
Working closely with the VP, Human Capital and the HR Business Partner for Austria, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding employee experience while ensuring operational excellence across the employee lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining HR administration, employee relations, compliance and process improvement in an international environment.
Your responsibilities:
As our HR Operations & Employee Relations Specialist, you will:
- Manage HR administration throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes and offboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, amendments, side letters and other employment documentation in accordance with Austrian legislation.
- Coordinate monthly payroll activities with the external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of all required information.
- Administer employee benefits, leave management and absence tracking.
- Maintain complete, accurate and timely employee data in BambooHR, ensuring the system remains the single source of truth.
- Ensure compliance with Austrian labour law, collective agreements, social security and internal company policies.
- Support employee relations cases by preparing documentation and coordinating administrative processes.
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner and VP, Human Capital to ensure operational excellence across the Austrian HR function.
What we're looking for:
Essential skills:
- Hands-on experience supporting employees in the DACH region is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of Austrian labor law and Austrian social security regulations is mandatory.
- Experience coordinating payroll with external payroll providers.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated team-player
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
