The HR Generalist is responsible for all human resource activities for the company. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all human resource activities to include employment, compensation, benefits, and training and development. 
  • Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications. 
  • Develop and maintain relationship with universities, trade schools, and other recruitment sources. 
  • Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Complete salary survey questionnaires. 
  • Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses. 
  • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. 
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. 
  • Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems. 
  • Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Roles

  • Support business hiring needs by collaborating with stakeholders, to advertise, source, evaluate and recruit
  • Thoughtfully work with stakeholders to develop, administer, and find training to suit development needs
  • Perform research, data analysis and reporting to benchmark and review the overall health of business practices as related to personnel mgmt.
  • Continuously improving the operating procedures and policies that relate to Human Resources.

Education & Experience Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree and three to five years of HR experience, or a bachelor’s in HR Management and 2 years’ experience in the HR field, or 7 years’ experience in the HR field and or any similar combination of education and experience. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and two years of HR experience
  • Seven years of HR experience, or a similar combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of personnel administration principles and practices
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
