About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Generalist to support our restaurant and corporate teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, supporting employee relations, and ensuring accurate HR reporting and administration.

The ideal candidate is organized, knowledgeable in HR practices, and thrives in a dynamic setting where no two days are the same.

What You’ll DoEmployee Relations & Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues

  • Support HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with employee relations matters, including investigations

  • Partner with HR and Loss Prevention on workplace incidents and claims

  • Manage Leave of Absence administration

  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment

Compliance & HR Administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, EEOC, youth employment laws)

  • Process and maintain I-9s, E-Verify, employment verifications, and unemployment claims

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems

  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews

Payroll & Benefits Support
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate employee compensation and wage compliance

  • Administer and track PTO/PST in accordance with company policies

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Workers’ Compensation, LOA, and FMLA processes

HR Reporting & Data
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, including headcount, turnover, and compliance metrics

  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and support business decisions

  • Compile reports for audits, investigations, and leadership requests

  • Translate documents as needed

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as restaurant, retail, or hospitality

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Experience with HR reporting and data analysis

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)

Nice to Have
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)

  • Experience supporting multi-unit or high-volume operations

Skills Required
