Description

BLOX is revolutionizing the construction industry by integrating advanced manufacturing principles with innovative technology to deliver high-quality, modular building solutions. We are driven by a mission to rethink how buildings are designed, fabricated, and delivered, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

Position Summary

BLOX is seeking a proactive, adaptable HR Coordinator to support our People team as we scale rapidly across a fast-growing manufacturing and construction environment. This is a role built for someone who thrives in an environment that is actively being created rather than one with every process already defined. The HR Coordinator works directly with a frontline manufacturing and field workforce, requiring the ability to engage confidently and professionally with strong, direct personalities across all levels of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a frontline point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, and day-to-day HR matters.

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new-hire paperwork, orientation coordination, and exit processing.

• Maintain accurate and compliant employee records within Paylocity.

• Support employee relations matters as they arise, escalating complex issues to the Senior HR Business Partner as needed.

• Provide day-to-day HR support to a frontline manufacturing and field workforce, navigating a fast-paced, direct communication environment.

• Administer FMLA and ADA processes according to established procedures, including reviewing medical certifications for completeness, tracking and applying leave designations per policy guidelines, and preparing accommodation recommendations for Senior HR Business Partner review and approval.

• Conduct workplace investigations into policy violations and employee conduct complaints following a standardized investigation protocol, including gathering witness statements, documenting evidence, and preparing findings and recommended resolutions for Senior HR Business Partner review; escalate matters involving legal risk, executive-level personnel, or protected-class allegations immediately.

Payroll & Compliance

• Support payroll processing in partnership with the Senior HR Business Partner and Finance, including time and attendance review, corrections, and reconciliation.

• Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment law requirements.

• Support audits and reporting related to payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.

Team & Process Support

• Provide general administrative and coordination support across the HR/People team as priorities shift and the team scales.

• Help develop and document HR processes and templates to support BLOX’s rapid organizational growth.

• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team as needed to help build and document BLOX’s recruiting playbook.

• Identify and recommend improvements to HR service delivery as the team and company scale.

• Support special projects and initiatives assigned by the Senior HR Business Partner.

• Some travel may be required to support other BLOX sites and facilities as business needs arise.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1–3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or related HR support role.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.

• High degree of discretion and confidentiality with sensitive employee information.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or another industrial environment.

• Familiarity with Paylocity or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform.
