A Bright Future, Inc. is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in our American Canyon location. The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for various functions of the Human Resource department, including but not limited to; recruitment, benefit administration, worker's compensation and administration of company policies. This position is hourly, non-exempt, M-F 9-5:30.
The ideal person for this position is patient, compassionate, good listening skills, and be able to multitask effectively. The #1 requirement for this role is CONFIDENTIALITY.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment – Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for all open positions. Work closely with Directors and Supervisors to understand the needs of their department and any required job openings. Schedule and coordinate pre-employment drug tests and background verification. Follow new-hire onboarding programs and deliver compelling new-hire orientations.
- Onboarding – Ensure all new employees receive required initial training including safety training, code of conduct and handbook training, anti-harassment training and certifications required.
- Benefit Administration - Ensure that all new hires receive benefit information upon hire, manage all adds/moves/changes for existing employees using the Employee Navigator system. This position manages the Open Enrollment process annually with our benefit broker.
- Worker's Compensation Claims management - manage the process of setting up a claim and managing the requirements from the carrier for claims.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years experience in Admin, or Human Resources
- Strong ability to multitask
- Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience with HRIS and talent management systems - preferred but not required.
