POSITION SUMMARY 

The HR Coordinator provides administrative support to the Human Resources department while serving as the primary point of contact for general HR inquiries and delivering a consistent, positive employee experience. This position coordinates employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, HR communications, employee surveys, onboarding support, and other recurring HR activities that support the daily operation of the department. The HR Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining department processes, supporting organizational culture, and ensuring employees receive responsive service and are connected with the appropriate Human Resources resource.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general Human Resources inquiries and provide responsive, professional customer service to employees while directing inquiries outside the scope of the role to the appropriate Human Resources team member.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department by preparing documentation, maintaining department records, coordinating recurring activities, and supporting day-to-day department operations.
  •  Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, company events, volunteer activities, and culture programs while supporting the Employee Engagement Committee and Culture Champions.
  •  Facilitate employee recognition programs, including service anniversaries, birthdays, recognition initiatives, and the administration of the Nectar recognition platform.
  • Monitor employee recognition participation and engagement trends to support continuous improvement of recognition programs.
  •  Support Human Resources communications through approved communication channels, including employee announcements, newsletters, digital communication platforms, bulletin boards, and other department communications.
  •  Administer employee surveys, monitor participation, compile survey results, and support communication and follow-up activities related to survey initiatives.
  • Coordinate recurring employee listening initiatives, including quarterly employee roundtable meetings, and communicate feedback to the Human Resources team.
  •  Track and maintain Human Resources department action items, projects, and recurring administrative responsibilities to support timely completion of department objectives.
  •  Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information while ensuring Human Resources records and documentation are accurate, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Assist in evaluating employee engagement initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience.
  •  Support department projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other Human Resources activities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 

• Ability to lift up to 15lbs. occasionally  

• Ability to walk long distances 

• Willingness to work within a manufacturing environment 

• Ability to communicate and listen 

• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. 

• Occasionally exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment
