The Role

What the Role Entails

  • Formulate and review HR policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support for (take lead and coordinate) various compliance projects and audit exercises to guarantee the organization's HR practices meet all legal and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the development and revision employment policies and procedures, compliance trainings, supporting resources, etc. in alignment with local legislation, regional business needs and global strategies.
  • Stay current with developments in HR-related laws and regulations and make certain that the organization's policies remain up-to-date and compliant. (Remain informed on local policy, trends and updates to legislation, recognizing the impact to current policies and procedures, and taking the appropriate partners to remain compliant and/or get ahead of any trends in legislation.)
  • Review, communicate and action opportunities identified from compliance reporting, monitoring and assessments, including follow-up action to drive accountability around the completion of mandatory compliance trainings and acknowledgements.
  • Respond to employment policy and compliance inquiries and consult on escalated policy and compliance related employee relations matters.

Who We Look For

  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management / Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employment compliance and policy development (across multiple countries/navigating entry into new countries.), Regional human resources business partner experience is a plus;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and abilities, detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Project management skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written Chinese and English (including Mandarin).
