Job Description

This is a fabulous opportunity to work with an established, friendly and helpful HR team based in Sentric Head Offices in central Liverpool. You will work closely with leadership and management teams in Sentric and the global People team at Believe, to support and drive HR initiatives through the business.

Our team

Our team local is comprised of a Head of People (Hiring Manager), HRBP (whose maternity leave this role is covering), HR Advisor & Office Coordinator. We also work closely with the Believe UK HRBP in London and the other central HR specialisms (C&B, HRIS, Talent Acquisition...) based in the Believe HQ in Paris.

They main areas you will work in include talent management, organisational development, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and culture development. You will provide advice on HR policies, processes and best practices, while ensuring that HR strategies are effectively implemented within the business. This is a key role within the organisation, focusing on aligning HR initiatives with the overall business objectives.

We support hybrid working. We work 3 days a week in our lovely offices, and you have the option to work 2 days a week from home, should you wish.

Key aspects of the role

  • Collaborate with leadership and management to understand the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support these goals, ensuring the alignment of HR practices with the overall business strategy
  • Being a trusted advisor, providing expert HR guidance and support to operational managers, including development, progression and succession planning, performance and salary reviews amongst others
  • Act as the first point of contact for most employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to both managers and employees. Investigate and resolve employee complaints, conflicts and disciplinary matters, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and drive the talent acquisition process, including job description development and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement local retention strategies to attract and retain high-performing employees
  • Collaborate with management to implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations and employee development plans. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related matters, including coaching, feedback and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with the compensation and benefits team to develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits strategies for the UK. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters, including salary benchmarking, performance-based pay, and benefits administration
  • Identify training and development needs within the organisation and develop strategies to reflect and rectify this. Collaborate with managers to create individual development plans for employees and support their career progression
  • Collaborate with international counterparts on HR projects
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulations and recommend necessary updates to HR policies and practices
  • Collect, analyse and interpret HR data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvements. Prepare regular HR reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Work with leaders and managers to define and articulate local desired strategic culture. Develop and maintain initiatives to promote and reinforce the desired culture and drive cultural change through effective communication, training, and change management strategies
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement foster a positive work culture. Develop feedback mechanisms to gauge employee engagement and identify areas for improvement and drive employee involvement. Collaborate with leaders to address engagement gaps and implement action plans
  • Ensure regular reporting to the Central People Team via OKRs
  • Support organisational change initiatives by providing guidance and support to managers and employees. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop change management strategies and plans, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

Qualifications

Skills

Knowledge

  • Good understanding of HR and employment law
  • Awareness of workplace culture and wellbeing initiatives
  • MS Office Software
  • Familiar with using an HRIS

  • The ability to build relationships effectively

Experience

  • Demonstrable, significant experience as seasoned HR generalist at HRBP level with solid legal/compliance background
