**THIS POSITION IS REMOTE**
The HR Business and Transformation Partner serves as a strategic advisor to organizational leadership while acting as the primary liaison between the Human Resources team and the company's Transformation team. This role partners closely with HR leadership to identify, evaluate, implement, and optimize emerging technologies, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and HR systems that improve operational efficiency, employee experience, compliance, and business outcomes.
In addition to supporting traditional HR Business Partner responsibilities, this position plays a key role in advancing VSolvit's digital transformation strategy by translating HR operational needs into technology-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will possess broad experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), a strong systems mindset, intellectual curiosity regarding emerging technologies, and the ability to lead organizational adoption of innovative HR solutions while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and government contracting requirements.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary Human Resources liaison to the Transformation team, ensuring HR priorities are represented in enterprise technology, automation, and artificial intelligence initiatives
Evaluate current HR processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, reporting, employee experience, and service delivery through automation, AI, and emerging technologies
Partner with technical teams to design, test, implement, optimize, and continuously improve HR systems, workflows, integrations, and automation initiatives
Lead change management efforts related to new HR technologies, ensuring successful adoption across a geographically dispersed workforce
Research emerging HR technologies, AI platforms, automation tools, and industry best practices
Develop business requirements and provide HR subject matter expertise during HRIS enhancements, technology implementations, and system optimization projects
Train and support organizational leaders in the effective, ethical, and compliant use of AI, automation, HR systems, and digital tools
Develop documentation, SOPs, governance standards, and training materials supporting technology implementations and process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, implement, and optimize technology-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes
Utilize HR analytics, reporting tools, and data visualization to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support data-driven decision-making
Ensure technology implementations support applicable employment laws, OFCCP, EEO/AA, Service Contract Act (SCA), DCAA, and other federal contracting requirements
Actively champion continuous improvement by identifying innovative opportunities to modernize Human Resources through responsible use of automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies while maintaining appropriate human oversight, compliance, and data privacy
Partner with leaders across the organization to align Human Resources strategies with business objectives, organizational growth, and workforce planning
Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership coaching
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development
Facilitate onboarding, offboarding, orientation, I-9 compliance, employee support, and other employee lifecycle processes
Develop, facilitate, and deliver management training, standard operating procedures (SOPs), presentations, and educational materials
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, government contracting requirements, and organizational policies, while recommending updates to policies, practices, and the employee handbook as needed
Perform other duties as assigned in support of Human Resources, organizational transformation initiatives, and overall business objectives
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma and Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and five (5) years of relevant experience
Demonstrated Human Resources Business Partner or Human Resources Generalist experience supporting multiple functional areas
Broad experience administering and optimizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), HR technologies, and digital HR workflows
Experience evaluating, implementing, or supporting automation, artificial intelligence, workflow technologies, or emerging digital solutions within Human Resources
Strong curiosity for emerging technologies with a demonstrated ability to identify practical business applications for AI and automation
Experience utilizing HR metrics, reporting, and data analysis to support strategic business decisions
Working knowledge of a broad range of HRIS platforms
Experience utilizing AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, NotebookLM, Jira Service Management, or similar technologies
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing business needs
Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state employment laws and regulations, including California and Virginia employment practices
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or related field
Professional Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent)
Experience leading HRIS implementations, system upgrades, or enterprise technology projects
Experience with workflow automation platforms, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Power Automate, low-code/no-code platforms, or similar technologies
Experience supporting digital transformation or organizational change management initiatives
Experience developing AI governance, automation standards, or technology adoption programs
Experience supporting government contractors, including familiarity with OFCCP, EEO/AA, Service Contract Act (SCA), DCAA, and related compliance requirements
Experience supporting military, federal government, or defense organizations
Previous supervisory, coaching, or training experience
