Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs tailored to the unique risks of the international freight and cargo industry, covering areas such as hazardous materials handling, transportation safety, and operational safety.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant EHS laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, IATA, IMO). Monitor changes in legislation and adjust programs accordingly.
- Occupational Safety: Lead occupational safety initiatives, including developing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees on safe work practices.
- Safety incident Management: Oversee the entire incident lifecycle, from prevention and response to thorough investigation and reporting. Analyze incident data to identify trends and implement corrective actions with scalable location & scope.
- Auditing and Reporting: Conduct regular EHS audits of facilities and operations to identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present detailed reports on EHS performance to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for EHS-related inquiries and foster a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in an EHS management role, preferably within security, freight, logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing EHS programs with Industrial and international EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, IATA, IMO).
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Relevant EHS certifications or being able to obtain within 6 Months. such as OSHA, ISO qualified, or Construction, ASP, CSP, or equivalent.
Skills Required
