Morrison Express is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our Global Technology Services department. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and driving enterprise-level data initiatives.
As a BI Analyst, you will lead cross-functional efforts to design and implement scalable BI solutions while helping to establish a strong data foundation on our modern data lakehouse platform. You will collaborate closely with business users to define use cases and technical developers to automate data processes, streamline data applications, and enhance BI reporting and visualization using tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
Another key expectation of this role is the ability to critically and responsibly leverage AI tools — including AI chat assistants and autonomous agents — to enhance productivity and introduce smarter workflows. We are not looking for someone who simply uses AI; we are looking for someone who understands AI outputs, can evaluate their accuracy and limitations, and can thoughtfully integrate AI capabilities into existing development processes in a way that is explainable, auditable, and business-aligned.
This role acts as a critical bridge between business and technology — aligning priorities, managing project execution, and ensuring our data solutions support strategic decision-making and long-term growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve BI solutions and ensure data integrity
- Document reports and workflows to enhance efficiency and knowledge sharing
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards and visualizations to support business decisions
- Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
- Develop data automation & visualization using tools like Tableau or Alteryx
- Identify opportunities to responsibly introduce AI-assisted workflows, evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, and drive adoption of AI tools in a structured and explainable manner
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Mandatory hands-on experience in SQL query and BI report development tools is essential.
【Must Have】
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role involving cross-functional collaboration, particularly in data infrastructure or analytics projects.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, enabling effective interaction with project team members and individuals at all levels of the organization.
- 5+ years of work experience or equivalent in data analysis, data visualization, and BI solution implementation projects.
- 3+ years of practical experience in BI reporting development using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in SQL database queries.
- Demonstrated ability to work with AI tools (e.g., AI chat assistants, AI-powered agents) with a critical and responsible mindset — capable of validating AI outputs, understanding their limitations, and integrating AI into workflows in an explainable and business-appropriate manner.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required.
【Nice to Have】
- Experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry is a strong plus.
- Experience designing or implementing AI-augmented data workflows or agentic automation pipelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with data lakehouse architecture and modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Databricks) is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages is advantageous.
- Experience working in agile project environments and managing BI/data platform migrations or modernization initiatives is a plus.
