Hours: 1900-0730

Schedule: 6 shifts per two week pay period. Some weekends required.

The Administrative Nursing Supervisor assesses the hospital staffing to meet the patient care needs, and responds to disaster situations. The Supervisor deploys staff to meet patient care needs, regulatory compliance, and hospital policy. The Supervisor coordinates and administers staff utilization, including facilitation of interdepartmental activities. The Supervisor informs department director and hospital administration of patient care issues, employee issues, and community disasters. The Department Directors will be notified in a timely manner regarding staffing issues (shortages, flexing, floating, sick calls) and will assist with the coordination of staff utilization and patient care. The Supervisor demonstrates a professional demeanor to staff, patients, and family. The Supervisor participates in and supports the hospital performance improvement program. The Supervisor functions as a role model for all members of the nursing staff.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 
1.    California RN License
2.    CPR
3.    ACLS
4.    Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a RN II position
5.    Previous experience or demonstrated skills in leadership and management
6.    Basic Computer Skills
