We are seeking a visionary In-House Film Director to join our creative agency, HS+, based in the Berlin office. The role will be pivotal in driving the creative direction and visual storytelling of our content, ensuring it aligns with our culture-defining mission. Reporting to the VP of Creative Production, you will be responsible for crafting engaging, innovative, and impactful visual narratives across multiple formats and platforms, shaping the look and feel of Highsnobiety’s branded content.


YOUR MISSION:

  • Creative Direction: Lead the creative vision for Highsnobiety’s film and video projects, ensuring content resonates with our audience and reflects our brand ethos.
  • Storytelling Mastery: Develop compelling visual narratives that amplify Highsnobiety’s cultural presence in fashion, music, art, and design.
  • Production Leadership: Oversee all aspects of film production, from concept to final cut, ensuring high-quality output on time and within budget.
  • Collaborative Execution: Work closely with the production, creative and editorial, and strategy teams to integrate film and video content into larger brand campaigns, maintaining consistency across projects.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of emerging filmmaking techniques and digital storytelling trends, constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Client Campaigns: Collaborate with clients and brand partners to execute branded film content that enhances the cultural and commercial value of Highsnobiety’s projects.
  • Post-Production Excellence: Supervise editing, sound, color grading, and all post-production elements to ensure the highest standards in film quality.
  • Cultural Insight: Maintain a deep understanding of the cultural conversations within Highsnobiety's domains, using this insight to inform creative decisions.


YOUR SKILLS:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in film direction, with a proven track record in fashion, lifestyle, or branded content creation.
  • Visual Storytelling: Strong portfolio showcasing ability to tell culturally relevant, visually compelling stories.
  • Cultural Acumen: Deep understanding and connection to Highsnobiety’s core cultural spheres (fashion, music, art, and design).
  • Technical Mastery: Expertise in all stages of film production, from directing talent to post-production and technical workflows.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working with diverse teams to bring ambitious creative visions to life.
  • Budget Management: Experience managing film production budgets and timelines effectively.
