About the role
As Hospitality Manager, you'll report to the Director of Hospitality and own Embark's external client experience — anchored in events and measured through NPS. Embark events are anything but ordinary. From a multi-day executive retreat in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains to carefully curated client dinners, every event we produce is designed with intention. You'll be the one translating that intention into execution — with a sharp eye for detail and an instinct for the hospitality touches that make people feel genuinely taken care of. Beyond the events themselves, you'll own the client NPS process — closing the loop on feedback, tracking satisfaction trends, and making sure every experience we create is deepening relationships and building the kind of client loyalty that drives Embark's growth.
This role is hands-on and high-visibility. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership, and you'll travel to bring events to life in person. The back half of the year is our busiest season on the road, so flexibility and a love of live execution are a must.

What you'll be doing
Event planning and execution
  • Own the full lifecycle of external client events — from logistics and planning through on-site execution and post-event follow-up
  • Lead event logistics including venue sourcing, vendor management, catering, A/V, registration, materials, and shipping
  • Build and manage event timelines, run-of-show documents, budgets, and post-event expense reports
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure on-brand delivery
  • Travel to events as needed; the second half of the year carries the highest travel demand
Standards and operations
  • Operationalize Embark's hospitality vision — defined in partnership with the Director of Hospitality — into repeatable playbooks, checklists, and processes
  • Own and manage the client NPS process end-to-end — from survey deployment and response tracking to synthesizing insights and driving action
  • Track and report on event outcomes — feedback, satisfaction, NPS trends, and influenced ROI — to raise the bar on how Embark shows up for clients and demonstrate the business value events bring to Embark's growth
  • Build service recovery protocols for when things don't go as planned; close the loop quickly and constructively
Team and cross-functional leadership
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to align event strategy with business priorities and client relationships
  • Lead by example — bringing clarity, warmth, and a genuine "how can I help" attitude to every interaction in a way that makes the hospitality team a go-to resource across the firm
  • Facilitate event recaps, communicate priorities, and deliver clear updates and recommendations to the Director of Hospitality
  • Support and develop junior team members, helping them grow into the same clarity, warmth, and hospitality instincts the team is known for

To be a great fit, you'll have

  • 3+ years in an events or hospitality role with end-to-end ownership of event planning and execution
  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, vendors, and budgets across multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the confidence to work with Sales teams and senior leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you represent Embark warmly and with sound judgment
  • Experience building scalable processes — playbooks, templates, and checklists that make the next event easier than the last
  • Ability to track and synthesize event outcomes and NPS data into clear insights that inform decisions and demonstrate business impact
  • Proficiency with modern tools (Google Workspace, Slack) and openness to leveraging AI to work smarter
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to travel; flexibility for higher travel volume in Q3 and Q4
  • Ability to jump in and do what it takes on-site, including occasional lifting up to ~30 lbs
  • An entrepreneurial spirit — you thrive in a fast-moving environment and don't wait to be told what to do

What We Do

Embark is a new kind of financial advisory consulting firm. We’re here to make life easier for Finance and Accounting leaders. To solve their most complex problems with forward-thinking solutions. And we do that so CFOs, CAOs, and their teams can actually enjoy their lives. Ultimately, our goal is to allow our busy clients to think less about work and more about what’s most important to them – families, mortgages, soccer practice, vacation, or whatever the case may be. And that’s why CFOs and CAOs love us. We do this by finding the best and the brightest, those that love what they do, but want to work in an environment where relationship-building culture fuels everything we do. That’s an Embarker, and they’re the ones driving such immense value for our clients.
