The Horticulture Executive is responsible for planning, supervising, and maintaining all landscaping and horticultural activities across client sites. The role ensures healthy plant growth, aesthetically maintained green spaces, efficient use of resources, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise daily horticulture and landscaping activities.
  • Maintain lawns, gardens, indoor plants, shrubs, trees, and ornamental landscapes.
  • Develop seasonal planting schedules and landscape improvement plans.
  • Monitor plant health and implement pest, disease, and weed control measures.
  • Ensure proper irrigation systems are functioning efficiently and optimize water usage.
  • Schedule pruning, trimming, fertilization, mulching, and soil conditioning activities.
  • Supervise gardeners and horticulture staff, ensuring productivity and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement of plants, fertilizers, pesticides, gardening tools, and landscape materials.
  • Maintain inventory of horticulture equipment and consumables.
  • Prepare work schedules, manpower deployment plans, and maintenance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor budget utilization and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Attend client meetings, address landscaping-related concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support sustainability initiatives such as composting, rainwater harvesting, and organic gardening where applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, or a related field.
  • Certification in Landscape Management or Horticulture (preferred).
Experience
  • 3–8 years of experience in horticulture or landscape maintenance.
  • Experience in facility management, commercial properties, corporate campuses, residential townships, hospitals, educational institutions, or industrial parks is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and turf management.
  • Understanding of irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, and automatic irrigation).
  • Pest and disease identification and integrated pest management.
  • Soil testing and nutrient management.
  • Landscape planning and maintenance.
  • Basic budgeting and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools.


Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, or a related field
  • Certification in Landscape Management or Horticulture
  • 3-8 years of experience in horticulture or landscape maintenance
  • Knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and turf management
  • Understanding of drip, sprinkler, and automatic irrigation systems
  • Pest and disease identification and integrated pest management
