Role Purpose
The Chief Financial Officer position is accountable for the administrative and financial operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Leadership
East & West Controller(s), Accounting & Compliance Manager, and Employment Administrator
Core Accountabilities
- Work in conjunction with the Executive team and Ownership to maintain accurate financial statements that help guide the teams by being data driven
- Assist in formulating the company's future direction/ acquisitions and supporting tactical initiatives
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
- Manage the budgeting process
- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- Manage and direct operational best practices
- Oversee employee benefit plans, with emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package. Utilize TEC for rollout and change management
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
- Arrange for debt and equity financing
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
- Develop financial and tax strategies
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
- Train and develop the East and West Controller(s), and in turn the accounting team, as well as create a desirable “One Hoffman" culture to improve talent attraction and turnover
Competencies and Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, master’s preferred
- Minimum of 10 Years’ experience in multi dealership environment and/or public accounting experience
- Experience partnering with an executive team
- Results oriented, demonstrated ability to plan, execute, establish metrics and report on projects and functional effectiveness
- Business acumen, problem solving and technical ability to be data driven
