Responsibilities
- To perform activities as ordered by departmental supervisors. Tasks can include but are not limited to: tissue processing, embedding, paraffin sectioning, (immuno)histochemical staining, in situ hybridization
- Preparation and sectioning of frozen and paraffin-embedded tissues using paraffin microtomy and tumor tissue processing
- Ensures the sample material is correctly handled.
- Stores samples/subsamples in the correct storage location. Operates equipment correctly to obtain the correct analysis. Works meticulously and pays attention to detail.
- Gives input of reagent stock status and functioning of equipment to the lab supervisor/manager.
- Reports results, errors and observations as required.
- Uses the LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as and when appropriate.
- Ensures the working environment is clean and organized at all
- Technical degree in laboratory science & technology (MSc, BSc or Graduate degree) or relevant experience working in a laboratory.
- Preferred: HT/HTL (ASCP) or similar accreditation; hands on experience as a histotechnologist
Main Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience or similar through experience.
- Prior experience in (immuno) histochemical staining, required
- Experience in the preparation and sectioning of frozen and paraffin-embedded tissues, paraffin microtomy and tumor tissue processing, required

Working Conditions
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location: Fully on-site, 1841 Centre Point Circle, Suite 100, Naperville, IL 60563, USA
