About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Highway Engineer – Design Reviewer to support a major highway infrastructure project in Timor-Leste. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying highway design submissions, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with expertise in Highway roads or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 15 years of cumulative experience in Civil Engineering and thereof a minimum of 10 years related to the final design of Highway roads for construction at site.
- Have served in a similar capacity on at least 2 Highway Road design projects of similar nature.
- Preferably a full-time employee of the PMC since at least 2 years.
- Fluent in writing and speaking English is mandatory
- Responsible for the review of the design of the Highway road, including but not limited to geometric design, earthworks, pavement structure, foundation, slope stabilization, landscape, road sign, marking, traffic light, and all similar structures in compliance with the DBF Contract
- Male or female

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with highway or road expertise, or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of cumulative civil engineering experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in final highway road design for construction
- Experience serving in a similar capacity on at least two comparable highway road design projects
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Preferably a full-time PMC employee for at least two years
