Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Policy Implementation:
- Assist in the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain HSE documentation and records.
2. Risk Assessment and Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
- Identify potential hazards and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk control measures.
3.Training and Education:
- Support the development and delivery of H
- SE training programs for employees.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and understand HSE policies and procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
4. Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Prepare and submit incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain records of incidents and follow up on corrective actions.
5. Compliance and Auditing:
- Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.
6. Environmental Management:
- Support the development and implementation of environmental management plans.
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Promote sustainable practices and initiatives within the organization.
7. Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans.
- Conduct emergency drills and training sessions.
- Coordinate with local emergency services as needed.
8. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE practices.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Professional certification (e.g. CRSP) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require working in various environments, including office settings, manufacturing floors, and outdoor locations.
- The HSE Supervisor will need to travel to different sites and facilities.
- The position may involve occasional lifting of materials and equipment, as well as exposure to hazardous conditions.
