We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced leader for our Trade and Working Capital Solutions team within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division. Trade and Working Capital Solutions is one of the growth drivers of Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB), delivering tailored solutions that address risk mitigation, liquidity, and off-balance sheet financing.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in structured trade, receivables, and documentary trade. This role is pivotal in driving our trade finance strategy and delivering innovative solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing trade finance solutions, including structured trade, receivables finance, and documentary trade products.
- Structuring capital relief solutions and guarantees with risk mitigations.
- Cultivating and nurturing robust relationships with corporate clients, understanding their trade finance needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure seamless execution of trade finance transactions.
- Monitoring market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and identify new business opportunities.
- Leading and developing a team of trade finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CTP) is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade finance, specializing in structured trade, receivables, and documentary trade.
- Strong background of trade finance products, market practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English. Spanish proficiency is a strong asset.
