We are seeking a Head of Technology Operations to lead technology support and operations for JLL’s Capital Markets Services and LaSalle businesses, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment across all tech, data and AI initiatives. This role heads all non-product functions including program management, change management, support for 3rd party and internal applications, as well as owning the tech budget and vendor software contracts across these business lines. This role is also responsible for engaging with leaders, including on the GCMB and GEB, on tech investment decisions, progress reporting and KPIs.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of 50+ product specialists, tech advisors, program managers and operations staff across multiple locations, who play a critical role in ensuring the Capital Markets and LaSalle businesses successfully leverage technology, data and AI to drive impact.   
  • Take ownership of the tech budgets for Capital Markets Services and LaSalle, partnering with senior Business and Finance stakeholders on forecasting, allocation, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Lead the development of business cases for major technology investments and obtain approval from senior leadership, as well as managing financial performance against budgets and provide regular financial reporting to executive leadership.
  • Represent the technology team in senior leadership forums with operations and finance teams from the Capital Markets and LaSalle businesses.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key technology vendors and service providers, and also lead vendor selection processes and contract negotiations.
  • Lead comprehensive user support operations for both internal technology products and third-party applications utilized by Capital Markets and Investment Management teams.
  • Oversee large-scale technology programs and initiatives from initiation through delivery, coordinating resources across projects and ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to technology, data and AI, partnering with business stakeholders to maximize user adoption and impact.
  • Own tech KPIs across Capital Markets and Investment Management, including leading the monthly reporting and deep dives with Exec leadership.
  • Drive cost-effectiveness through strategic vendor negotiations and resource optimization, including building offshore teams and leveraging new AI capabilities across the team.

 

Education and experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical or finance/business-related discipline.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in technology operations leadership.
  • Industry background in financial markets/services, real estate, investment management and/or banking preferred.
  • Prior exposure to owning and managing large technology budgets, including financial planning and reporting
  • Experience leading negotiations with external vendors on large software and/or data contracts.
  • Track record of leading support and operations teams, across multiple locations
  • Demonstrable strength in managing and driving alignment across a diverse set of business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems.
  • Commitment to excellence.

Estimated compensation for this position:

299,700.00 – 479,400.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
