Your Impact
As our Head of Tech (all genders) at eduki, you will be responsible for the technical foundations for our future by building and leading high-performing, collaborative tech teams. Here are the key tasks and responsibilities that you will be taking on to achieve this goal:
- Team Building & Hiring: You grow and shape high-performing teams by hiring the right talent, structuring teams effectively, and making clear staffing decisions.
- Process & Standards Development: You implement and improve people-focused processes across our Tech department (e.g. performance & salary reviews, development planning, and team standards) to enable effective team growth.
- Coaching & Mentoring: You support and develop team members to foster leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Communication & Collaboration: You bridge communication gaps within the Tech department and with stakeholders all over eduki.
Your Skills and Expertise
We are searching for a Head of Tech (all genders) who brings strong leadership and team-building expertise to drive our mission to enhance education. Furthermore, you should check the following boxes:
- You have strong leadership and coaching skills, including giving effective feedback, assessing performance, and conducting salary reviews.
- You are experienced in scaling tech teams by evolving team structures, collaboration models, and engineering practices to meet changing business needs.
- You are confident in making hiring and team structure decisions that balance business and team needs.
- You excel at navigating priorities between your own team and different stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment across the company.
- You thrive in international environments and communicate confidently in English on a daily basis.
Please note: Due to legal restrictions, we can only hire candidates living in and owning a valid work permit for Germany. eduki is a registered employer in Germany, and you will receive a direct work contract with us according to German work law.
Our Commitment to You
Attractive Compensation Package: The total compensation for this role is up to 126.000 EUR per year and consists of a fixed salary and a VSOP (Virtual Stock Options Program) package. Depending on your skills and competencies, as well as your individual performance, the gross annual salary will range between 80.000 EUR and 90.000 EUR.
Growth Opportunities: At eduki, you will have the chance to shape the future of education while working within a profitable and fast-growing company. We prioritize action over perfection and view mistakes as opportunities for growth. You can expect regular performance feedback sessions, ensuring that you receive constructive insights into your work and progress.
Additionally, you will receive a 1,000 EUR development budget per year to invest in your professional growth.
Working from Home: We fully embrace a home office culture and want you to enjoy full flexibility by enabling you to set your own work schedule. In addition to providing the necessary software and hardware, we offer a 500 EUR budget that you can freely use to equip your home office.
Furthermore, you can work from abroad for up to 90 days per year with us!
