• Personally source and close engineers, alongside go-to-market, product, design and operations hires.
• Partner with executives on headcount plans, budgets, compensation and leveling.
• Use recruiting analytics to report pipeline health, conversion, time to fill and hiring progress.
• Establish structured interviews, calibrated scorecards and a fast, decisive process.
• Own the recruiting-to-onboarding handoff, hire an HR generalist and lay foundations for future HR leadership.
Requirements
• At least eight years as a talent leader, including building an in-house function as an early talent hire at a high-growth, venture-backed startup.
• A proven record of at least doubling company headcount, with substantial technical hiring.
• Hands-on technical sourcing and closing expertise, plus experience recruiting non-technical roles.
• Headcount planning, compensation and recruiting analytics experience.
• Ability to partner closely with founders and executives and quantify the growth you have driven.
• A hands-on approach: strategy-only leadership is insufficient. Agency experience is considered when it includes close founder collaboration and measurable company growth.
• Ability to attend the Bay Area or NYC office three days a week.
