We are looking for someone who:

  • A proven track record in a dynamic online business. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar industry. 
  • Analytical in nature who can help bring clarity to problems and opportunities. 
  • Has strong financial literacy to ensure business performance and planning is fully understood. 
  • Has experience in managing senior audiences. 
  • A customer obsession.

What you'll be doing:

  • Utilizing customer research to develop actionable hypotheses to help develop a compelling customer proposition. 
  • Become the voice of the customer to collaborate at pace with our senior product leaders. 
  • Budget Management & financial planning: work with our finance team to develop our annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes. 
  • Business Case Development: Lead the creation of compelling business cases for new initiatives, product launches, and strategic investments, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives. 
  • Strategic Planning & Decision Support: Partner with senior leaders to evaluate and prioritize strategic opportunities, helping to shape the direction of commercial activities and investments. 
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct detailed market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities, risks, and trends that could influence commercial strategies. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, marketing, and product teams to ensure commercial strategies are aligned with broader business objectives. 
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks or bottlenecks in performance, recommending corrective actions or alternative approaches as necessary. 
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for senior leadership on performance, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring transparent communication and effective decision-making. 

Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or business intelligence software is essential. 
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to manage and optimize commercial performance. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and implement long-term strategies based on market trends, competitive analysis, and business objectives, while balancing short-term goals and performance. 
  • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize, drive execution, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams. 
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and engage with various stakeholders to influence decision-making.
