Location: Remote

Travel: up to 10% domestic travel

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually

Scope of the Role

The Head of Strategic Channel Partnerships is responsible for ensuring the Amazon Channel is fully optimized to drive product sales, in line with the company's sales strategy, by building and

maintaining strong relationships with Amazon. The ideal candidate will excel at problem-solving and decision-making, recognizing the importance of agility in keeping up with market demands while ensuring standards are met through strategic planning and effective communication with departments and partners.

Reporting Structure

The Head of Strategic Amazon Partnership is a key member of the Channel Partner and Operations team, reporting to the Director of Channel Operations and Partner Management. This position also partners with key cross-functional departments across the organization.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for Amazon.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with Amazon partner teams, focusing on enhancing overall business opportunities.
  • Forge partnerships and facilitate access to new opportunities and pilot programs within Amazon.
  • Collaborate with Category managers to identify growth opportunities and devise action plans, emphasizing campaign and promotional management strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to formulate and implement 3P fulfillment strategies.
  • Partner with Catalog Management to ensure listings are following best practices and are optimized for maximum search relevancy and conversion.
  • Assist Channel Compliance in monitoring partner communications regarding product safety compliance, customer feedback, and account health issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between category, marketing, operations teams, and Channel teams, conveying updates and funneling feedback to enhance channel performance.
  • Identify and implement innovative ideas and best practices to continually optimize Amazon's Channel performance.
  • Proficient in creating compelling JBP, QBR, PowerPoint, and other necessary presentations to effectively communicate complex ideas, challenges and strategies to Partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to control and influence room dynamics during meetings, including C-level or executive leadership, to ensure effective communication and decision-making processes.
  • Lead a team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure team members meet and exceed individual and collective goals.
  • Perform other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • 7+ years of experience within ecommerce
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing a major Marketplace business.
  • Extensive knowledge about Marketplace and 1P business models and operations including promotional participation.
  • Demonstrated experience in owning key relationships above and below the executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thought to develop, recommend and implement strategies.
  • Problem solver, dynamic, competitive, high-energy candidate that acts with urgency and efficiency.
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, ERP, BI, and retail platform software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for internal and external contact.
  • Highly organized and plans effectively.
