About the Head of Solutions Engineering Position
We are seeking a Head of Solutions Engineering to join the Stairwell team. This person will serve as the primary technical leader, driving the success of our customers through innovative security solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent technical problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Head of Solutions Engineering Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the solutions engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Build out playbooks for successful customer engagements.
- Present and demonstrate our technical value to prospects, and oversee the onboarding of new customers to the Stairwell platform.
- Engage deeply with product teams, providing near real-time customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, capturing new learning for reuse throughout the company and user base.
- Participate in technical communications within the team to share best practices and learn about new technologies and complementary security applications.
- Map identified customer business requirements to workable solution architectures.
- Ensure the success of customer deployments and integrations, advocating for customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Focus on maintaining and growing customer relationships, ensuring value delivery, and minimizing churn.
Head of Solutions Engineering Qualifications
- 10+ years in sales engineering or solutions engineering roles, preferably in Security or SaaS companies.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity trends and technologies.
- Excellent presentation, demo, and communication skills.
- Experience providing pre- and post-sales technical support, creating strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering customer training.
- Ability to engage with internal teams (Sales, Security Operations, Product Management) and customers to ensure success criteria are met.
OTE Range $200,000 - $245,000.
