About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Engineering to lead our global engineering organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the existing global engineering team as well as building our India engineering team from the ground up. This leader will drive all aspects of product development to support our product vision. You will lead technology initiatives to create an AI software platform that empowers a portfolio of virtual care brands. We’re looking for a leader who can build and scale teams effectively, collaborate across departments, and align engineering efforts with business objectives. Your goal will be to enhance user experiences for both providers and internal teams, driving growth and innovation within the Unified Vision AI powered healthcare platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage the global organization of engineers - lead, hire, grow and develop our talent.
- Lead the architecture and design of our AI based software platform to support a portfolio of brands serving virtual care providers.
- Collaborate with product managers in developing a strategy and roadmap to deliver the best value and experience to our users.
- Continuously raise the engineering bar with experience and passion for software and AI excellence.
- Ensure high availability, quality, performance, and efficiency of the Unified Vision Software platform and related services.
- Establish best practices for cross-team collaboration and software development processes.
- Become a strong player in the engineering leadership team.
- Translate company strategy into the day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of technology work experience including 5+ years in technical leadership, spanning full stack engineering, data science and AI.
- Hands-on experience with new product creation, ideally within startups.
- Current or past founders or co-founders, with a proven entrepreneurial mindset and experience in building companies from the ground up.
- Domain expertise in SaaS, Health tech, consumer, or marketplace is a must-have.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BSc/MSc).
- A successful track record in building organizations from the ground up and leading motivated teams of engineers.
- Relevant experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
- Agile or Scrum expertise in software development methodologies.
- Ability to work 5 days a week in our San Francisco or New York office with a fully in-person team.
