What you'll do:
- Collaborate with revenue, data science, and strategic finance teams to ensure revenue is recognized accurately for new products, pricing/pricing models, or acquired businesses
- Review KPIs for key product lines on a monthly basis and share trends with strategic finance and revenue teams; assist with management and board presentations on revenue and bookings
- Research and understand nuances of the reporting and services provided by our various distribution channels (including fee structure, settlement timelines, and reporting calendars) to inform and drive improvements to existing billing infrastructure and processes
- Own the revenue month end close process including variance analysis and account reconciliation, delivering timely and accurate financial results in accordance with ASC 606
- Enable the successful completion of the company's first financial statement audit across all revenue accounting areas, coordinating with external auditors on the revenue testing plan
- Support CFO and Controller in executing on key initiatives as appropriate, including fundraising, M&A processes (financial diligence and integration), and ERP implementation
You will be a match if:
- 8+ years of accounting experience, including 4+ years leading revenue accounting operations at a high growth technology company
- Experience with financial statement audits over revenue, delivering clean audit results
- Experience implementing major accounting systems (e.g. ERP, internal or external billing system)
- Primary accounting business partner for product, GTM, and revenue operations teams with proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment
Nice to have:
- Direct experience with Stripe, Google, and/or Apple revenue reporting and reconciliation
- IPO and/or public company experience leading revenue accounting operations
- Experience leading revenue accounting for a marketplace business
- CPA a plus, Big Four experience a plus

ClassDojo takes a number of factors into consideration when determining compensation, including geographic location, experience, and skillset. Salary ranges (United States):
CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT states: $175,000 - $210,000 (USD)
All other states in the US: $148,800 - $178,500 (USD)
