The HEAD OF PUBLISHING We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Publishing to oversee the publishing division and drive the success of our global publishing initiatives. This role is responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational leadership of several departments, ensuring Maximum Entertainment's games are brought to market effectively and profitably. This position reports to the CEO and is a full-time onsite position based out of our Walnut Creek, California location.
In this role, you will:
Oversee Key Departments

• Brand Marketing: Lead the product marketing team in bringing published games to market.
• Business Development: Manage the greenlight funnel for digital and physical titles and foster strategic partnerships.
• Data Analytics: Lead business intelligence and data analytics efforts to inform publishing strategy.
• Creative Services: Oversee the creative marketing team responsible for trailers, key art, packaging, social media assets, and more.
• Digital Sales: Drive catalog sales promotions and maximize digital revenue opportunities.

Financial Accountability:

• Manage the publishing division's P&L.
• Own and optimize the budget for global digital revenue.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and inspire a team of 30+ professionals across multiple departments.
• Foster collaboration, inclusivity, and professional growth within the team.

Ideally, you have:

• Proven experience in senior publishing leadership roles within the video game industry.
• Strong knowledge of publishing functions, including marketing, production, business development, and digital sales.
• Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and drive revenue growth.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and scaling teams.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of fostering innovation and driving successful partnerships.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Passion for video games and an understanding of the gaming landscape, including trends and player behavior.
