About Re:Car

Re:Car, a subsidiary of Re:Build Manufacturing, is a new company that is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.

What we are looking for:

As Head of Public Relations and Communications, you will lead and oversee our company’s public relations efforts and internal and external communications. You play a critical role in telling our story to our customers, partners, investors, and employees. This role will oversee a communications strategy and execute initiatives to enhance our brand image, reputation and relationships with key stakeholders inside and out of the company.

What you get to do:

  • Identify and define the most important audiences and channels for our communication efforts.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies aligned with our company goals.
  • Identify and create key messages and narratives to enhance brand perception and reputation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure positive media coverage and manage media inquiries.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, and other communications materials
  • Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to engage and inform employees across all levels. Manage internal communications platforms and channels.
  • Establish success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
  • Manage an agency partner to maximize our investment.
  • Responsible for media training of internal stakeholders and key company partners.
  • Develop messaging frameworks and guidelines for various audiences and scenarios.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, public sentiment, and communication metrics.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders on communication effectiveness.

 

What you bring to the team:

  • 10+ years experience
  • Proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related roles
  • Strong media relations skills and a network of media contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages.
  • Crisis communication management experience, including handling high-stakes situations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute communication strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with digital and social media communications is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Must love cars! You’ll be thinking about cars all day every day, and it’s the most fun when you love cars.

Location

Remote is acceptable, but we prefer NY Metro (able to commute to NYC if needed) or Troy, MI.

Base salary - US wide $118,850.97 to $251,648.73

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Re:Car reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.  In addition to base pay, Re:Car also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs – 401k match, annual bonus and company equity, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans, HSA/FSA.
