SAP LeanIX is seeking a Head of Product to constantly up-level our Platform Engineering capabilities. Together with our Platform Engineering teams, you will not only ensure that we offer a scalable, flexible SaaS infrastructure for our more than 1600 customers today - you will be in charge of leading our product management function of a department that scales our platform to be ready to support more than 50 engineering teams in the future.
Concrete responsibilities include domains like authentication & authorization, tenant provisioning, management of feature flags & release processes, management & compliance of Azure infrastructure in > 10 regions, and streamlined support for product data analytics. In addition, you will help the Platform Engineering teams to enable other product teams around core processes like CI/CD, consistent use of UX design systems, and more.
At SAP LeanIX Product and Engineering, we embrace a hybrid remote work model, which allows us the benefits of in-person collaboration along with the flexibility to work from home as needed. Therefore, we hire only within commuting distance to our hubs in Bonn, Ljubljana, Berlin, Dresden & Munich, and we expect our employees to come to the office multiple times per week.
WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU?
- You will be the acknowledged product leader for Platform Engineering- become the Go-To Person for this area
- Work closely with internal & external customers to deeply understand their needs
- Engage closely with product leadership to align your work with the overarching product vision, challenging and influencing the overall product strategy
- Collaborate directly with product marketing, sales, and various functions within a modern SaaS company. Understand market dynamics, competition, and influence product positioning and perception
- Partner closely with Platform Engineering around domains like authentication & authorization, tenant provisioning, Azure infrastructure, streamlined support for data analytics & further topics - and build up a product team around this
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Practical engineering background of at least 5 years in managing scalable infrastructures or Platform Engineering, concrete SaaS experience is a strong plus
- Product Management experience of at least 5 years, product leadership experience is a strong plus
- Experience working with various functions within a modern SaaS company, including product leadership, UX design, Customer Success, Enablement, and Sales & Marketing
- Enjoying a hands-on approach, thriving in an agile software development environment while collaborating effectively within an agile engineering team
- Experience navigation functions of a larger enterprise, e.g. compliance
- Holistic view on the product – you are only happy once your features are in use and deliver the value customers need
- Fluent English is mandatory
