Head of Product Marketing

Drive Product Adoption and Market Leadership

Mission: 

Groq is redefining AI inference with our groundbreaking LPU, making AI faster, more efficient, and more accessible than ever before. We are seeking an exceptional VP of Product Marketing to define and communicate Groq’s product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market (GTM) strategy to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue.

In this role, you will own Groq’s product story, ensuring that developers, enterprises, and the AI ecosystem clearly understand the value of our technology. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Developer Relations to create compelling narratives, launch products, and enable the go-to-market team with world-class materials and insights.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how AI leaders, developers, and enterprises engage with the future of AI acceleration while working alongside some of the brightest minds in AI hardware and software.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

  • Define Positioning & Messaging → Work with product and engineering to develop clear, compelling narratives that differentiate Groq’s technology in the AI market.
  • Lead Product Go-To-Market Strategy → Own product and feature launches, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, marketing and sales.
  • Enable Sales & Developer Adoption → Build sales enablement materials, competitive insights, and technical storytelling.
  • Drive Competitive & Market Intelligence → Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitors to refine messaging.
  •  Support Product-Led Growth (PLG) → Work with Growth Marketing and Sales to optimize developer onboarding, adoption, and retention.

Ideal candidates have/are:

  • 12+ years of experience in product marketing, GTM strategy, or competitive intelligence (AI, hardware, or developer-focused SaaS preferred).
  • A track record of successfully launching and positioning technical products in AI, ML, or high-performance computing.
  • Deep experience in messaging complex technical concepts to both developers and enterprise buyers.
  • Strong sales enablement and GTM execution skills—creating assets that drive revenue.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Growth, and DevRel teams.
  • Ability to translate competitive insights into clear positioning and differentiation strategies.
  • Experience marketing AI, ML, or high-performance computing products.
  • Understanding of developer ecosystems, API products, and technical decision-making processes.
  • Prior experience in hardware-software co-marketing.

What Success Looks LikeFirst 90 Days:

  • Develop a clear positioning and messaging framework for Groq’s products.
  • Audit and refine existing sales enablement materials to align with business needs.
  • Establish a competitive intelligence process to track key market trends.
  • Partner with Growth & Integrated Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across campaigns.

By Month 6:

  • Successfully execute at least one major product launch with full GTM support.
  • Improve Sales and DevRel enablement materials, ensuring teams can effectively communicate Groq’s value.
  • Build a repeatable process for competitive insights and messaging updates.

By Month 12:

  • Establish Groq’s product marketing function as a strategic driver of growth.
  • Scale enterprise and developer messaging strategies to support expansion.
  • Position Groq as a recognized thought leader in AI acceleration through content, events, and industry engagement.

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $228,480 - $374,100 determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
