About the Role

As Head of Product – Growth, you will lead one of the most strategic areas at Pliant: driving customer acquisition and scalable onboarding through world-class compliance and credit experiences.

You will be responsible for two high-impact product areas:

  • Compliance Onboarding: KYC, KYB, AML checks, sanctions screening, and ongoing compliance monitoring
  • Credit Infrastructure: Credit application flows, credit bureau integrations, limit management, internal underwriting tooling, and portfolio monitoring

You’ll directly manage and coach Product Managers in these domains, act as a domain expert and sparring partner, and be deeply involved in roadmap definition, feature design, and cross-functional delivery. You’ll report directly to the CPO and collaborate closely with Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Data, Sales, and Operations teams.

This role is both strategic and hands-on. Beyond leading people and defining direction, you’ll roll up your sleeves where needed, whether filling in during a PM absence, supporting roadmap delivery, or helping clarify a tricky API spec.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and own the product strategy for Pliant’s customer onboarding and credit infrastructure across 25+ markets
  • Lead and grow a team of PMs responsible for compliance and credit products, including roadmap, execution, and delivery
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives involving Compliance, Risk, Engineering, Operations, and GTM teams
  • Translate complex regulatory and credit requirements into intuitive user experiences, scalable tooling, and automation logic
  • Oversee integrations with third-party services such as KYC/KYB/AML providers and credit bureaus
  • Contribute hands-on to roadmap shaping, feature definition, and platform decisions
  • Establish strong KPIs and product metrics around onboarding success, time-to-approve, limit utilization, credit exposure, and operational efficiency
  • Represent Pliant externally in key customer, partner, or vendor conversations as a product leader and subject-matter expert

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing PMs
  • Strong track record in B2B fintech, ideally in areas such as credit decisioning, onboarding flows, or regulatory compliance
  • Experience designing and scaling products that involve KYC/KYB, AML, or credit risk workflows
  • Solid technical foundation, able to discuss APIs, architecture, and platform design with engineering peers
  • Experience working with compliance-heavy, stateful systems and back-office workflows
  • Strong product process skills including goal setting, discovery, delivery, stakeholder management
  • Hands-on leadership style: low ego, pragmatic, collaborative
  • Fluent in English; location in Berlin or London preferred, remote possible within the EU
