About Babbel Labs

Babbel Labs is building the future of language learning. We're an AI-first, independent company within the Babbel group, based in Berlin. Our teams bring AI, R&D and product together to ship experiences that set a new standard for how people learn.

Your Learning Journey in This Role

We are looking for a Head of Pricing & Monetization to define and evolve Babbel’s pricing, packaging and monetization strategy. You will lead pricing decisions across existing and new products, including subscription plans, family plans, add-ons, trials and offers.

This is a hands-on individual-contributor role, with the opportunity to build a pricing function over time. You will work across Product, Growth, Marketing, Finance, Data and Engineering to turn customer insight and commercial analysis into pricing decisions that improve sustainable growth.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own Babbel’s pricing and monetization strategy across products, markets and customer segments, and develop the frameworks and processes behind it.

  • Design pricing and packaging for new products and models, including subscription options, family plans and add-ons.

  • Lead pricing decisions for existing plans, free trials, offers and customer segments, from analysis and modelling through to cross-functional alignment and launch.

  • Establish clear principles for discounts, promotions and offers across Marketing and CRM, and improve pricing pages, checkout and subscription flows.

  • Measure the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, conversion, retention and acquisition costs, using experimentation and analysis to continuously improve performance.

Your Skills and Qualifications

We think you’ll need the following experience to succeed in the role:

  • Senior-level experience owning pricing or monetization in a fast-growing technology, subscription, digital product or consumer business.

  • A proven track record of leading significant pricing or packaging changes end to end, from customer and market insight through to modelling, stakeholder alignment, launch and post-launch measurement.

  • Experience building or scaling pricing capabilities, frameworks or ways of working, and partnering with Product, Engineering, Growth, Marketing, Finance and Data teams.

In addition, here are the skills and capabilities we’re looking for:

  • Commercial and strategic judgement: Understands how pricing and packaging affect revenue, conversion, retention, customer acquisition and long-term customer value, and can make sound trade-offs.

  • Quantitative and technical fluency: Comfortable with pricing methods such as elasticity analysis, willingness-to-pay research, segmentation, forecasting and experiment analysis. Able to build models, work with data and use code where appropriate.

  • Product execution and experimentation: Translates pricing strategy into clear product requirements, experiments and launches. Uses AI tools and coding agents to prototype, test and iterate efficiently.

  • Communication, influence and ownership: Explains complex analysis clearly to both technical and executive audiences, persuades senior stakeholders, creates clarity in ambiguous situations and drives decisions through to completion.

Ways of working

You will work across Product, Growth, Marketing, Finance, Data and Engineering, building alignment around pricing decisions and helping teams move from analysis to action.

The role requires strong analytical depth, commercial judgement and hands-on execution. You should be comfortable working independently, challenging assumptions constructively and taking ownership without a large team around you.
