The Global Planning & Deployments Team is responsible for end-to-end hardware & deployment planning, execution, and sustainment. Embedded within the broader Production organization, Global Deployments & Planning’s mission is to drive operational excellence from the earliest demand signals to production attainment and through field installation and service, all while ensuring customer satisfaction and system availability. The team partners deeply across the internal Production team with Supply Chain and Manufacturing; and also broadly throughout the organization with teams like Engineering, and Growth. Within the Global Deployments and Planning Team are the following functional areas: Demand, Supply, & Material Planning, Global Logistics, Pre-Deployment Planning & Deployment Operations, Technical/Field Operations, Product Operations & Monitoring, Training, and Technical Publications. The team is central to ensuring effective customer and mission success, shaping the future of Anduril’s defense solutions.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Head of Planning to lead Demand, Supply and Material Planning into the next phase of hyperscale at Anduril. In this role, you will help build and manage a high-performing team responsible for end-to-end hardware planning and setting the plans to build and deliver dozens of complex products across all Business Lines at Anduril. This is a critical role at Anduril, as you will be expected to partner across the organization to drive change and improvements, as we continue to scale at a rapid pace. Planning at Anduril is a very complex problem due to the dynamic nature of our end customers and their changing needs. The Planning teams help manage a diverse supply chain and production landscape of in-house prototype production, contract manufacturing, remote forward deployed repair depots, and will eventually play a major role in the launching and managing of Anduril’s new hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ohio, Arsenal-1.
A successful candidate will thrive at the intersection of strategic and tactical execution and working cross-functionally to solve organization goals. You will mentor and lead cross-functional teams, build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure accurate forecasts and plans in support of critical missions around the world. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead & Scale Planning at Anduril
- Oversee all Demand, Material, and Supply Planning activities across the company and lead Anduril’s Hardware Planning organization into the phase of Anduril’s hypergrowth and scale.
- Develop a center of excellence through refining SOPs and processes, introducing new systems & tools, and managing KPIs.
- Build, mentor, and grow the team to match business needs, scaling for expanding product lines and global operations.
- Own & Oversee the Sales & Operations Planning Process
- Successfully execute the monthly management of the S&OP process to maximize sales growth and profit, while minimizing inventory and financial risk.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evolve the S&OP process as Anduril evolves and ensure that the process is providing insightful reporting to measure performance and drive recommendations.
- Drive standardized reporting, templates, and KPIs with input from key stakeholders like Finance and Business Line and improve the team’s internal processes to execute the monthly process.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners (Growth, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Deployments, and Finance) and have ability to influence and drive change when necessary.
- Partner up, down, and across the organization as necessary - must have the ability to present and interact with Exec/Senior Leadership, but also develop strong relationships with working teams.
- Identify and resolve obstacles, leveraging both strategic and scrappy solutions to maintain plans and commitments.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
- Evaluate planning processes and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve forecasts, reduce costs, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Champion the development of new tools, techniques, and methods that streamline planning processes, workload, and improve reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years in a Planning or Operations leadership role within the hardware development industry with a track record of managing scaling products from prototype to full rate production on the order of 1000s.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally in an unstructured, ambiguous environment. Startup experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with planning and production operations in a deeply technical industry such as aerospace, consumer electronics, medical, or automotive.
- Experience managing new product ramps through full rate production.
- Experience managing large, cross-functional teams at multiple locations and in multiple geographies.
- Relentless drive for continuous improvement and solving high impact business problems through highly leveraged process, business systems, and data.
- Strong outcome orientation with the ability to drive initiatives from inception to implementation and adoption. Willing and able to dive into tactical execution mode when needed to move the effort forward.
- Positive and inspirational leader with the demonstrated ability to assess, attract and retain high-quality talent and build high-performing teams.
- Sophisticated interpersonal ability to earn credibility, influence others, change minds, and advise across diverse environments and personalities.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and the ability to see around corners.
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills with the ability to understand how problems and their solutions fit with the wider organization and its operations.
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in a technical discipline preferred, not required.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
US Salary Range
$216,000—$324,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
