Roblox is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving company-wide operational cadences, reporting mechanisms, and annual planning processes. You will act as a key driver of efficiency and effectiveness, promoting seamless execution of critical initiatives across the organization. You'll do this through designing, refining and running processes that provide the right level of visibility to and feedback from the executive team, while minimizing bureaucracy to allow our product Groups to execute as efficiently as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Process Design and Execution: Develop and manage core operational processes and cadences. Ensure these processes are efficient, productive, and foster alignment across teams with minimal bureaucracy, enabling teams to move quickly.
- Reporting and Analysis: Lead robust planning and tracking frameworks to plan for and track roadmap execution and company key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting a data-driven approach to operating the company. Work with internal data-science teams to ensure the framework itself supports metrics around execution performance and feed that data back into the planning process.
- Quarterly Planning: Lead the company's rolling quarterly planning process, collaborating with senior leaders to define goals, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively.
- Partner Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across all departments, effectively communicating expectations, timelines, and progress updates in a timely manner.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes, finding opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive productivity.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration, ensuring clear communication channels and effective information sharing across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years proven experience in operations management or in an operating role that involves some degree of process and operations management (e.g. team leadership), preferably within a high-growth technology company.
- Consistent track record of designing and implementing successful operational cadences, reporting systems, and planning processes.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to build strong relationships with team members at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Passion for Roblox's mission and an understanding of gaming/social technology landscape.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$259,750-$292,190 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
