Description
The Head of Marketing oversees the day-to-day execution of the global marketing function. This includes oversight and development of several team members and spans the following critical functions across the business: Content and Channel Marketing, Business Development and Brand, and Stakeholder Engagement and Experiences. The Director of Marketing has deep experience across key marketing functions, including content management, communications, events, and marketing technology; is a proven leader and talent manager; and is self-motivated and highly entrepreneurial. They partner with the Chief Integration Officer and key stakeholders across all regions and business units on key marketing and communications initiatives. This role is based in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Leads the day-to-day execution of the global marketing function in support of the overall marketing plan and objectives
- Manage and develops marketing team members, including overseeing work product; providing oversight and quality control checks; guiding priorities; making daily decisions; and providing coaching and training
- Partner with the Chief Integration Officer and regional and business leaders to develop the annual marketing priorities, plan and budget; routinely measure and report progress against the plan and budget
- Communicate proactively with leadership, escalating questions/issues as needed; serve as primary point of contact for business and regional leads on marketing initiatives and projects
- Evolve internal and external stakeholder communication plans, processes and content
- Lead special projects
- Serve as in-house expert and relationship manager for MarTech tools and vendors, including various CMS systems, global CRM, e-mail marketing tools, etc.
- Participate in negotiation with and fulfilment of key corporate sponsorships, partnerships, memberships and vendor relationships
- Create, maintain and monitor a Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) dashboard to measure effectiveness of current initiatives; proactively propose and implement improvements/enhancements as needed
- Serve as steward of the Teneo brand, including positioning in the market and adherence to visual brand guidelines
- Provide oversight of the firm’s global thought leadership program – participating in content development, exercising quality control and overseeing amplification across external channels
Qualifications
- Proven leadership capabilities, a strong work commitment, high ethical standards, ability to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and desire to coach and develop team members
- Excellent verbal and written communicator, with strong editorial and proofreading skills
- Superior project management and organizational skills, with creative problem-solving abilities, sound judgment and attention to detail
- Resourceful, team-oriented, enthusiastic, collaborative and entrepreneurial
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive and demanding assignments
- Experience working with a variety of MarTech tools (CRM, CMS, Google Analytics, etc.) and vendors required, with proficiency in synthesizing and managing data preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Suggested work experience: 14+ years in marketing, communications and/or related fields; experience in professional services strongly preferred
- Must be based in New York City and work from the midtown office a minimum of three days per week
- Periodic domestic and international travel required

Base Salary Range
$265,000-$285,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).

Flexible Work Policy
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York and San Francisco offices, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
