The Head of Marketing will lead our marketing vision and execution, excelling in digital marketing, content strategy, brand management, and making data-driven decisions. We seek a proven leader who can drive growth, translate technical concepts into compelling value propositions, and connect with diverse users. Experience in technical SaaS marketing is essential, with no-code/low-code platform experience a significant plus. Has a passion for empowering the next generation of software builders through unique innovative marketing strategies. The ideal candidate has experience performing most marketing functions and understands the power of AI as a tool to augment human creativity and strategic thinking, not replace it.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and Implementing Data-Driven Growth Strategies. Create and execute marketing plans that align with company growth objectives, customer needs, and product development.
- Executing innovative marketing strategies specifically tailored to the developer audience. Craft compelling narratives that resonate with technical professionals and showcase our product's value
- Establishing Customer Personas and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP). Collaborate with leadership and product marketing to define and refine customer segments, using research to develop key personas and ICPs that drive targeted marketing efforts.
- Mapping and Enhancing the Customer Journey. Gain a deep understanding of the customer lifecycle, defining success metrics for each stage and mapping out conversion and activation triggers to optimize engagement.
- Driving Multi-Channel Growth Initiatives. Lead acquisition and retention strategies across digital channels, including paid search (Google Ads, etc), social media, email marketing, events, and partnerships tailored to customer segments.
- Optimizing Digital Marketing and Automation. Utilize A/B testing, technical SEO, SEM, and marketing automation tools to continuously refine messaging, campaigns, and offers, ensuring strong market resonance and conversions.
- Crafting Brand Positioning. Establish and evolve Xano's brand as a thought leader in the no-code/visual development space, working closely with product teams to align messaging with customer insights and performance data.
- Conducting Market and Competitor Research. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor positioning, and customer preferences, ensuring Xano remains competitive and relevant in a fast-evolving market.
- Leading Content Strategy. Spearhead content creation efforts, including technical blog posts, developer resources, API documentation, and thought leadership pieces that attract and engage key audiences, such as developers and enterprise decision-makers.
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering. Partner with internal teams to translate complex technical features into clear, compelling value propositions and product marketing materials that resonate with target personas.
- Defining and Tracking Marketing KPIs. Establish and monitor key performance metrics, including CAC, LTV, and ROI, ensuring all marketing activities are tied to business goals and deliver measurable impact.
- Managing Marketing Budgets and Resources. Efficiently allocate budget and resources, focusing on high-ROI activities to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and overall revenue growth.
- Building and Leading a High-Performance Marketing Team. Recruit, mentor, and manage a diverse marketing team skilled in both technical and creative aspects of SaaS marketing, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Developing Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and other departments to ensure messaging consistency, support sales efforts, and highlight customer success stories and case studies.
- Ensuring Consistent Messaging Across All Channels. Maintain clear, consistent communication of Xano's value proposition across digital, social, and offline touchpoints, ensuring alignment with the company's technical capabilities and ease of use.
- Driving Paid Media and Campaign Performance. Lead paid media strategies, ensuring campaigns are optimized for lead generation and customer acquisition while adhering to performance goals.
- Cultivating Relationships with Industry Stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with influencers, developer communities, and media outlets in the software development ecosystem to enhance Xano's visibility and thought leadership.
- Staying Current on Industry Trends. Continuously update knowledge of SaaS marketing, growth hacking techniques, and emerging trends, especially in the no-code space.
- Supporting Sales Initiatives. Provide marketing insights, messaging, and resources to support sales efforts, including landing pages, collateral, and campaign data that drive outbound and sales-assisted initiatives.
