SUMMARY:

This role will be accountable for the Jenius Bank brand and marketing strategy/execution for our new Digital Bank. This role will be responsible for the leadership of the marketing team, annual marketing budget, acquiring channels, direct and email campaigns and be the expert on customer acquisition.

This person will drive the marketing results of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, and executing strategies for the customer journey by way of messaging, targeting, positioning, creative development and other marketing activities that communicate with, attract, retain, and engage customers.

This role reports to the Head of Product, Marketing and Customer, leading a team of 14 colleagues and will be instrumental in scaling Jenius Bank to the next level of growth. This role will work closely with product, customer, and technology teams in a collaborative culture.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Marketing Planning - work directly with the leadership team to develop the winning marketing strategy.
  • SEO - Design and manage results and deliverables (direct agency or in-house SEO staff)
  • Content marketing -- Develop a content strategy that ensures Digital Bank is top of mind for retail banking customers.
  • Partnership marketing-ensure the company's brand is well understood and promoted among partners and affiliates.
  • Social media - Oversee social media activities that create awareness and engagement across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and others.
  • Email Marketing/Marketing Automation - develop a workflow to effectively communicate with email contacts, grow lists and nurture customers throughout the customer journey to drive repeat business and obtain customer satisfaction.
  • Communications - Own and earn public relations communications and communicate important company messaging to all stakeholders best medium.
  • Traditional Advertising -Where appropriate incorporate event, print, visual/ audio and/or digital advertising.
  • Build, scale, and manage a team including both internal hires and external agency relationships.
  • Foster a culture of high-quality, innovation, inclusivity, and fun.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 15+ years growth / performance marketing experience; ideally in a high growth direct-to-consumer company.
  • Financial services industry experience is required.
  • Extensive experience managing a sizeable budget.
  • Experience leading marketing budgets and comfortable with scaling them in tandem with the overall performance of the business.
  • Experience in fast paced growth environments either at an ad agency or high growth company that moves fast and celebrates wins and digs into failures.
  • Analytical and a natural problem solver - able to combine qualitative and quantitative data to extract actionable insights to adjust campaigns accordingly.
  • Collaborative and able to influence others based on data-driven reasoning.
  • Self-starter, open to wearing multiple hats and executing without waiting for direction.
  • Curious and innovative, you constantly keep up with the latest trends to look for ways to improve.
  • High emotional intelligence encourages positive energy and fun throughout the organization.
  • Thrives in a lean, scrappy, entrepreneurial environment. Comfortable putting hands on keyboards as necessary to drive progress in a lean, start-up environment.
