Location: Field Based with remit across the the central midlands area. Travel to our office in Cannock/London and to sites across the region will be required.

What you'll be doing;

The Head of Local Sales is accountable for leading and managing Area Sales Managers across a large geographical region aligned to the operational regional structure. The purpose of this role is to positively contribute to our commercial objectives and support the growth of our commercial business.
 

Reporting into the Head of Local, Digital, & Specialist Sales and acting as a senior strategic leader within the commercial local sales team. This role will be responsible for the direct management of >4 heads, & >20 indirect and is dedicated to the delivery of local new business wins and retention of existing local business. The focus will be on organic customer growth, solution development and innovation and a strong customer experience.
 

You will own and deliver the 6 steps sales process and embed the Elevate culture across the team, whilst motivating, training and developing the Sales professionals. To deliver the goals, standards and KPIs and achieve growth.

What we're looking for;

  • Experience of leading new business sales teams in the waste industry.

  • Seasoned leader with demonstrable track-record of leading high-performance.

  • An effective coach who understands the value of a coaching culture.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence at senior leadership level.

  • Extensive experience of leading and influencing across a large matrixed environment.

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize among competing priorities.

  • Ability to innovate, be strategic and demonstrate value to our Customers.

  • Excellent bid writing and tender experience and knowledge.

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to hold a room and influence those within it

  • Increase the Local win percentage and average order value.

  • The ability to showcase and demonstrate the full Veolia offering and coach, train and develop your team to do the same.

  • Extensive knowledge of Elevate / 6 steps sales strategy with the ability to coach, develop and train
    these practices.
