About the Role:

Faculty are at the forefront of AI transformation in insurance, working with FTSE 100 insurers in the UK and some of the largest insurers internationally to re-conceive their products, services and operations. We are further expanding our footprint in this space and are searching for a Head of Insurance with deep knowledge and experience in the sector and a passion for using technology to improve it.

Role Specific responsibilities:

  • Sector strategy: Develop a strategy for growing the insurance sales pipeline that is aligned with the wider strategy for the Financial Services Business Unit and Faculty as a whole

  • Revenue growth: Achieve or exceed revenue targets, primarily by acquiring new clients in the insurance sector

  • Market positioning and strategic partnerships: Develop innovative client propositions and establish partnerships with other firms that can drive sales growth

  • Thought leadership: Build Faculty’s profile in the insurance sector by delivering original and creative insights about AI in insurance through high-profile speaking engagements and publications

  • Client management: Foster strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders 

  • Account planning: Design transformation programmes for insurance clients, encompassing organisational change that supports the application of AI into core insurance business activities such as underwriting

  • Delivery enablement: Provide oversight of deliverables for insurance clients, ensuring high-quality outcomes by closely working with delivery teams

Who we are looking for:

  • Strategic vision: A holistic view of the key strategic opportunities and challenges facing different types of firms in the insurance market globally gained through both relevant industry and consulting experience, with a distinctive, high-level intuition on how AI can address them 

  • Insurance Expertise: Deep understanding of core insurance technicalities such as actuarial modelling, underwriting, risk management, and financial investment evidenced from prior hands-on roles

  • Compelling communicator: Adept at building rapport and relationships with people, including executives, through clear and confident communication, ideally with a track record of sales into the insurance sector

  • Delivery excellence: A history of successfully driving high-quality technology or technical deliverables to completion within demanding deadlines, preferably in a programme management capacity

  • Principled leadership: Capable of inspiring and motivating individuals in a management role, coupled with the ability to address difficult issues directly and constructively

  • AI enthusiasm: Genuine interest in and broad familiarity with AI, with proven learning agility in a technical domain
