Head of Group Benefits Purchase Technology
OverviewWe are seeking a Head of Group Benefits Purchase Technology leader within the Group Benefits Digital and Technology organization. The individual will be responsible for managing Group Benefits Purchase applications and aligned Group Benefits Purchase business function. As the Head of Group Benefits Purchase Technology, you will lead a diverse team and have full leadership responsibility for development of the team. Partnering with the senior business leaders you will develop and execute the Group Benefits Purchase/Underwriting strategy. In addition, the individual will be accountable for delivery of the initiatives, manage financials and ensure operational stability of Group Benefits Purchase Technology.

You Will:
- Be responsible for the development and execution of Group Benefits Purchase Technology strategy, and for continuously updating the strategy to assure that it is appropriately aligned with the overall strategy of the Group Benefit Purchase business plans.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of how your area of responsibility integrates with Group Benefits businesses and across Guardian Life.
- Have responsibility and accountability for financial management of the initiatives, team and function
- Be Accountable for all technology related to Group Benefits Purchase applications.
- Oversee the multiple functions and drive the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness from the engineering and development teams
- Ensure alignment with the Guardian Life and overall Digital and Technology objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for technology related initiatives with the team as well as overall Group Benefits Digital and Technology
- Be accountable for the Purchase application performance. Using data and insights you will make informed recommendations for enhancements to improve performance.
- Drive simplification and automation of Purchase Technology applications and platforms, including end to end transformation of the Purchase experience with AI at the core
- Stay abreast of trends and identify new opportunities to change the current ecosystem
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and leaders across Group Benefits and Guardian Life
- Anticipate and respond to major technology evolutions, industry trends, and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business opportunities
You Have:
- Proven business-oriented and technology executive knowledge with a strong understanding of how technology can drive ROI and business growth.
- The ability to provide visionary direction and effectively lead IT and application delivery departments, aligning technology initiatives with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Directly delivered applications improving customer experiences and driving revenue
- A strong understanding of end to end customer experiences and processes and the capability to leverage technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Excellent skills in planning, executing, and overseeing technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
- The ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Significant Experience in Agile and Global large-scale programs
- Significant Experience in AI Product Delivery Lifecycle transformation and AI-enabled software engineering
- Significant Experience managing third-party outsourcers and managed service relationships
- Significant Experience in software development engineering and release management
Location & Travel:
- 3 days a week at our offices in Holmdel, NJ, Bethlehem, PA, Boston, MA or New York, NY
Salary Range:
$162,440.00 - $266,870.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
