Team / Division Overview

The Fund Accounting and Administration team is responsible for all onshore funds daily operations to provide on-going support to the respective stakeholders. That may include fund lifecycle management, trade confirmations, trade settlements, NAV calculation, client order processing and in others may include counterparty maintenance, project management, communication with stakeholders and verifying internal controls to ensure compliance.

Your responsibilities

As a Head of Fund Accounting and Administration you will be responsible for:

Supervise and support

Middle office

  • Broker/Counterparty account opening
  • Broker/Counterparty KYC
  • Internal/external reporting
  • Fund performance measurement
  • Fund lifecycle management
  • Static data maintenance

Fund Accounting

  • Calculate and review daily fund NAV
  • Fund Accounting system processing
  • Declare the fund data to SITCA and provide the data feed to DB.
  • Monthly/Quarterly/Annually financial report and regulatory reporting
  • Fund tax return filing
  • Fund accounting system testing.
  • Provide group required information
  • Service Vendor monitoring
  • Other fund accounting administration job
  • Enhance work efficiency and evaluate the options

Transfer agent

  • Maintain new client data in Jepun
  • Update client static data in Jepun
  • Update client relevant KYC review date  in Jepun
  • Support and deliver clients original account opening docs to MorgenFund
  • Client daily subscription/redemption order processing
  • Funds settlement and payment relevant
  • Help and solve client questions and requirements Client order confirmation
  • Client monthly statements
  • SITCA/TDCC monthly reporting
  • FATCA/CRS annual reporting

Business Management

  • Communication bridge between internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage group project
  • Transform the team to be the business partner and provide business solutions
  • Develop holistic governance and KOP to work across divisions
  • Work with business as the business partner and provide the business solution

We are looking for 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/ Finance or equivalent
  • Must have the SITE license
  • Ideally 10 years financial accounting/ fund administration experience required, working in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • It would be an advantage if you have Big 4 experience, but this is not a must
  • Extensive experience in asset management industry, sustainable investments, along with strong operations / accounting experience, broader knowledge from front desk to back office
  • Superior relationship management, strong verbal and written communication skills (Chinese and English are both required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot table and vlookup), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proactive attitude, commitment to continuous learning, willing to challenge the status quo to improve processes
  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently, as well as contribute to the broader global team
  • Ability to multi-task and be hands on in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent
  • SITE license
  • Around 10 years financial accounting / fund administration experience in high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Extensive experience in asset management and fund operations/accounting
  • Big 4 experience
  • Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting and tax compliance (SITCA, TDCC, FATCA, CRS)
  • Strong relationship management, communication, proactive attitude and ability to multi-task under pressure
