The Role
Are you a driven and pragmatic finance professional who thrives on making things run smoothly behind the scenes? We’re now looking for a Head of Finance to take ownership of Upright’s day-to-day financial operations and help keep our financial engine humming as we continue to grow.

As Head of Finance, you’ll be responsible for improving our financial operations: from better processes and clear tracking to accurate forecasting and daily execution. You’ll know what’s been paid (and why), keep everything on track, and support the team in making smart, informed decisions. Whether you’ve done this before or are eager to grow into the role, this is your chance to take real ownership of the financial side of a scaling company. This role is ideal for someone smart, practical, and curious about finance - someone who enjoys responsibility and wants to go deep into how the whole picture fits together. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Own and run all key finance routines, like payment approvals, cost tracking, invoicing, and revenue collection
- Coordinate with our external bookkeeping partner, making sure everything stays accurate and timely
- Build and improve pragmatic processes to keep things organized without overcomplicating
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for internal and board use
- Review and flag costs, track approvals, and keep an eye on “who signed what”
- Oversee insurance and other financial compliance basics holistically (not just from one angle)

- You move quickly, with a strong sense of urgency and a focus on getting things done
- You’re a clear and thoughtful communicator, fluent in both Finnish and English - spoken and written
