About Baba

Baba is an applied AI lab modernizing risk and care delivery for people with Medicare. We've become the fastest growing digital health system matching people with Medicare and their family caregivers with expert advocates, physicians, medications, lab testing, and AI agents to deliver insurance-covered care across all 50 states. In the last 8 months, we've completed tens of thousands of appointments and partnered with health plans covering more than 4 million Medicare beneficiaries. On any given day, our team's work spans population health research, applied AI research, clinical care delivery, and fintech infrastructure.

We're a Series A company with $40M+ in funding. Our team is half engineers, a third former founders, and comes from places like Ramp, Stripe, Liquid AI, Palantir, MIT, and CMU. Our clinical operations are led by the former Executive Director of Care Transitions from the Mount Sinai Health System. We believe that talent density is our greatest competitive advantage.

About the Role

We deliver fee-for-service care today, are building toward value-based contracts with payers, and are expanding into adjacent Medicare businesses with their own payment and cash timing dynamics. The ideal candidate is comfortable with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable dynamics of insurance driven healthcare businesses.

Baba is looking for their Head of Finance & Revenue Operations. This individual will build the finance & accounting function in the company from FP&A, healthcare RCM KPIs, and payroll/compensation of care delivery. You will work alongside leadership to develop the operating model, financial forecast, accounting reconciliation / close, cashflow modeling, board package / materials systems to help the company scale to $100M+ revenue. Our RCM team will report to you.

You will report to the CEO and work closely with Operations, Clinical Operations, Growth, and Product & Engineering. This role is full-time and NYC-based; our office is in Soho.

Interested candidates should email [email protected] with a short summary of the most challenging problem they've worked on and a link to their LinkedIn.

What You'll Own

Cash and forecasting. Build and maintain the 13-week cash forecast and the operating model, accounting for acquisition spend, RCM collection lag, deferred revenue from new lines, and clinician, contractor, and partner payment cycles.

Accounting and reporting. Own the monthly close (working with our outside accounting firm), multi-entity accounting across the MSO, professional corporations, and any subsidiaries or acquired entities, intercompany flows, year-round audit readiness (financial and regulatory), and the board and investor reporting package.

Unit economics and KPIs. Own weekly reporting for Cost Per Lead, CAC by channel, lead-to-enrolled-to-billing conversion, revenue per patient, gross margin, CAC payback, and net revenue retention.

Revenue cycle performance. Manage the RCM Lead and be accountable for total collected revenue: days in AR, clean claim rate, denial overturn rate, and payer-by-payer collection lag.

We'd Love to Hear From You If
  • You have 5–12+ years across FP&A, operating finance, or finance leadership at a healthcare services or health tech company, ideally one that grew fast with meaningful working-capital constraints.

  • You have owned a monthly close and a board package, and you have owned an operating model and cash forecast that leadership actually ran the business on.

  • You understand provider-side healthcare revenue: Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, payer contracting, and why collections lag.

  • You've managed multi-entity accounting with intercompany flows, or are confident you can operate in scaling entities.

  • You've been through audits up close and come out clean: financial statement audits, and ideally payer or Medicare/Medicaid billing audits. You know what auditors ask for, how to keep a business audit-ready year-round, and how to defend a position when it's challenged.

  • You are analytical and hands-on: you build the model yourself, and you're equally comfortable in the ledger.

  • You have managed people and can develop an RCM leader and, over time, a finance team.

  • You thrive in ambiguity, bias toward action, and would rather give a clear answer with stated assumptions than wait for perfect data.

  • You’re looking forward to rethinking outdated or inefficient finance/accounting processes with AI and engineering

  • Analytical and hands-on approach to financial modeling and general ledger work
  • People management experience and ability to develop an RCM leader and finance team
