In this key position, you will be responsible for the financial function of the German subgroup and will also act as a functional sparring partner for the European companies. You will report directly to the management board and actively shape the financial management and further development of the company at national and European level.
Your ResponsibilitiesStrategic & operational responsibility
Overall responsibility for accounting and controlling in the German subgroup
Strategic management and further development of general ledger, accounts payable, credit management, and disciplinary management of controlling
Further development of the finance organization
Closing & reporting
Ensuring the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB) as well as consolidated financial statements
Ensuring the timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for European subsidiaries, including IC reconciliations and group reporting
Ensuring the timely preparation of financial statements for German real estate companies
Ensuring data quality and transparency as a basis for decision-making by management and the Group
Planning, control & analysis
Planning, implementation, and control of budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans, including variance analyses
Supporting management in the implementation and further development of control and key performance indicator systems
Active business partner for management and specialist departments in economic matters
Governance, processes & projects
Responsibility for the implementation and further development of ICS, accounting and tax guidelines
Responsibility for the Group's transfer pricing policy
Responsibility for the liquidity and cash flow management of the German subgroup
Management and implementation of finance projects (e.g., process optimization, system introductions)
Support for M&A, integration, or restructuring projects (if relevant for the Group)
Stakeholder Management
Central contact person for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and Group management
Responsibility for the further development of cooperation with Group management
Representation of the finance function at the European level
Professional qualifications
Degree in economics, ideally with a focus on accounting, finance, or controlling, or a comparable qualification
Solid professional experience in group accounting, ideally supplemented by experience in auditing
Confident knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) (individual and consolidated financial statements)
Ideally, experience in working with international companies and corporate structures
Leadership & personality
Several years of leadership and management experience in a comparable role
Strong hands-on mentality paired with strategic thinking
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
High level of social competence, ability to work in a team, and strong communication skills—even when dealing with complex issues
Assertiveness, decisiveness, and a high degree of responsibility
Languages & IT
Fluent written and spoken German and English
Good knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Business Central) and confident use of modern reporting and BI tools

Skills Required
- Completed studies in economics or a comparable qualification
- Relevant professional experience in group accounting
- Proficiency in the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Fluency in German and English
