We are looking for a Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Solutions & Operations, who will be responsible for implementing and translating LS&Co.’s global DEI strategy into organizational initiatives, programs and practice.

The Head of DEI Solutions & Operations is a critical thought leader and expertise partner to the Chief DEI & Talent Officer that will help develop and lead the implementation of long-term DE&I vision and goals, operationalize and scale global initiatives (from ideation to implementation and assessment), support the management of the US team and be accountable for the successful execution and impact of key global & US solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of cultural competence, a consultive approach and a proven track record of project management, possess strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy. In addition to the ability to initiate and maintain positive relationships, build trust, inclusion & influence with LS&Co. employees and leaders globally.

About the Job

  • Serve as a leader, advisor, advocate, catalyst for change, and a go-to resource focused on embedding DEI into global talent and business solutions and activities, supervising progress toward these goals and working with appropriate internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate/drive progress.
  • Oversee and drive global DEI initiatives directly and through management of team resources as well as partnering with key stakeholders including business leaders, HR business partners, talent acquisition, talent management, and talent development. 
  • Act as a catalyst and continuous architect of LS&Co.’s global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) by supporting the development and growth of the ERG strategy and growth goals in partnership with the Senior Leaders and peer in global regions and clusters.
  • Partner and oversee the DEI Index and recognition strategy focused on building awareness of LS&Co.’s innovative efforts, path and progress towards DEI goals, helping shape and develop our employer brand, industry leadership and ESG profile in partnership with Corporate Communications
  • Oversee the annual DEI Impact Report, a comprehensive overview of LS&Co.’s DEI efforts globally, including programs, initiatives, training, ERGs, legislation, activism, advocacy, representation, cultural initiatives and brand activations.
  • Oversee DEI operations (training, ERG’s, talent development initiatives, etc.) in partnership with learning and talent development asd well as global regions/clusters.
  • Partner and Support critical insights to drive the DEI communications strategy in collaboration with HR communications, Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs and The Levi Strauss Foundation.
  • Evaluate and summarize People & Culture reports that reflect the well-being of the organization (including employee engagement and climate surveys) and capability to achieve DEI goals. Recommend strategy and solutions to close gaps.
  • Continually review current and future diversity, equity, and inclusion trends, progress and goals, identifying strengths, gaps, key drivers, ideas and opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in DEI, HR, culture, learning & development, and change management.
  • Deep understanding of effective DEI practices.
  • Proven experience in a consumer-centric organization with a strong understanding of both front-line operations and corporate functions.
  • Strong consulting and leadership skills to build a culture of accountability and delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in both distributed and independent environments 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to aggregate and disaggregate complex information.
  • Experience in international/global organizations with a focus on building relationships and delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and facilitate effective conversations.
  • Ability to apply research and evidence-based practices to strategic development.
  • Skilled at organizational change and leading complex projects.
  • Basic understanding of relevant DEI-related laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate inclusive dialogue and cultivate a positive work environment.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $173,000- $262,600. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
